A man who had been convicted for an attempt to murder about 12 years ago and had been on the run was arrested in Saptari on Friday. Birendra Malaha, aged 38, of Ward no. 5 of Kancxhanpur municipality had been sentenced for five years by the Saptari District court for attempting to murder Daulat Pande and his relatives of the same ward. He was made public at the District police office on Friday. "We'll present him at the court and then send to prison to serve his sentence, " said SP Rajendra Dhamala. Malaha was arrested while he was hiding in his village.
