Police on Wednesday arrested a person for allegedly swindling Rs 1.94 million from six unemployed youths with the promise of sending them to a European country on working visa. The suspect has been identified as Bharat Prasad Rai, 36, of Chitwan. According to Metropolitan Police Crime Division, he had been on the run after collecting cash from the youths. Acting on a complaint lodged by the victims, plainclothes cops held him from Nayabazar, Kathmandu Metropolitan City. MPCD said Rai was handed over to Metropolitan Police Circle, Teku.
